Bridport is a cordless table lamp with a built-in battery. The whole body is metal in brushed brass: a domed shade, a fluted column and a stepped round base with the charging socket in its side. The lamp has no mains lead, so it stands wherever it happens to be needed. How long it runs on one charge The 3.7 V, 4400 mAh battery is built in and a full charge takes 10 hours. Running time depends on the brightness chosen: 12 hours at full power, 25 hours on the middle step and 50 hours on the lowest. A USB-C to USB-A cable is supplied for charging; the manufacturer does not include a mains adapter, so a USB plug has to be your own. The lamp weighs 0.9 kg and carries from room to room in one hand. How much light it gives The source is a built-in 2 W LED module at 3000 K, warm white and close to a traditional incandescent lamp. Maximum output is 100 lm — the level of a mood light: something to stand beside you, not to read or work by. Brightness is switched by touch in three steps: 25, 50 and 100 lm. The dimmer is in the lamp itself, so neither a dimmable bulb nor a dimmer in the wall is needed. The LED module is permanently fitted and cannot be replaced. Where it fits The lamp is 27.7 cm tall and the shade is 18 cm across — figures to compare with the depth of the shelf or bedside table it is meant to stand on. The manufacturer names shelving, the hallway, the bedside and the dining table; with no lead, there is no socket to plan around. The finish is brass plated onto a metal body.
