KLOVER is a wall light built from a single flat steel plate with a wavy outline, painted in a deep burgundy red. A single linear tube in opal glass runs vertically down its centre, held in a contact at each end. The plate is 43 cm wide and 66 cm tall, and it stands 5.2 cm off the wall. How much wall it takes 43 by 66 cm is an area close to that of a small picture — worth measuring out on the wall before buying, because this sconce does not sit quietly beside other decorations; it is one. The wavy edge means the plate reads as a shape on the wall even with the light switched off. It projects 5.2 cm from the wall, flat enough not to be in the way in a corridor or beside a bed. It mounts straight onto the wall with screws passing through the plate, and the supply is connected at the back — the manufacturer's sheet shows a standard live-and-neutral connection. Which light source you have to buy The holder is an S14d type: double-ended, made for a linear tube pushed between two contacts rather than for an ordinary screw-in bulb. No source is included, and the manufacturer allows a maximum of 3.5 W and an LED source only — so what you need to look for is a linear S14d LED, not the classic filament tube of the same fitting. 3.5 W is a decorative, atmospheric output: the sconce lights the wall and its own outline, but it will not light a room and will not replace a ceiling fitting. Materials and construction The plate is steel, painted a single burgundy across its whole face in a matt finish. It weighs 3.3 kg, which with screw fixing means that in a plasterboard wall you will need a fixing into the supporting structure or plugs rated for that kind of wall. The form is modern and reduced to two elements: a coloured plate and one bright vertical line down the middle.
