On a 120 cm hallway wall, 40 cm remains. In front of a sofa, 40 cm of depth plus 80 cm of clear passage is 120 cm from the sofa edge. 50 cm is the seat height: when putting on shoes the feet rest on the floor. The maker intends it as extra seating in the hallway or as a chest at the foot of the bed. How you sit on it and what it holds The seat is 80 cm wide — at the usual 60 cm per adult that is space for one person, not a bench for two. The maker states 90 kg static load on the seat; the limit is for the whole surface. The compartment under the lid takes 20 kg static.
