The TELFORD P362PL-01G is a pendant lamp whose opal glass shade sits inside a cage of slim steel rods painted gold. The body measures 37.5 cm high and 15 cm across, and the glass capsule reaches below the bottom edge of the cage. The luminaire hangs from a black cord finished with a round ceiling rose. How high to hang it The manufacturer gives an overall height of 49 to 170 cm, adjusted by shortening the suspension cord. Above a table the lower edge of the shade normally ends up 70–80 cm above the top, so that range leaves room to match the drop to your ceiling. The ceiling rose is 10 cm across and 2.5 cm deep, which covers a standard installation box. At 15 cm in diameter the luminaire itself is narrow, and the Telford series comes in three sizes, so several units can be hung side by side over a longer worktop. Which bulb to buy The fitting takes one E27 light source rated up to 60 W. No bulb is included, so you choose the colour and brightness yourself: 2700–3000 K is warm, slightly yellow light, and roughly 800 lm matches the old 60 W incandescent bulb. The manufacturer does not provide for dimming this luminaire, so a dimmer is out of the question whichever bulb you fit. The opal glass diffuses the light, and the cage rods enclose the shade from above and at the sides — the lower part of the capsule stays exposed. Power and installation The lamp runs on 220–240 V and belongs to protection class I, so connecting it calls for a protective conductor — an earth has to be available at the outlet. The whole fitting weighs 0.95 kg, so a standard ceiling hook will carry it; in a plasterboard ceiling it needs fixing to the supporting structure. The manufacturer gives a five-year warranty. Where it belongs The manufacturer intends TELFORD for the living room, bedroom and dining room, over a kitchen island, and for hotel and restaurant interiors.
