A lens held away from the ceiling AROS is a smooth aluminium body shaped as a flattened lens 40 cm across, seated on a short central stem that holds it away from the ceiling. That gap between body and soffit is the point of the design: the disc appears to float rather than sit flush, and it casts a shadow onto the ceiling so it reads as an object rather than an opening. A 180° spread means the full hemisphere: light downwards and broadly sideways, with no concentration. CRI 80 and no dimming Colour rendering is CRI 80 — the market standard, adequate for circulation and secondary rooms, though below the CRI 90 wanted where colours are judged.
