GLORIOSA is a JUPITER chandelier with a 102 cm spread, hung on a chain below a round canopy. Fifteen curved steel arms run out from the matt black cone at its centre and end in white glass cups, with flat leaf-shaped pieces of the same lacquered metal woven between them. How big it is and where it fits The fitting occupies a circle 102 cm across — a figure worth comparing with the surface it will hang over and with the distance to the nearest wall. Maximum drop is 165 cm, and the chain shortens by unhooking links, so the chandelier suits a tall room as readily as an ordinary ceiling. The luminaire itself weighs 4.74 kg and arrives in a carton of 88 × 88 × 50 cm, which is the space to allow for carrying it in and unpacking it. How many bulbs you need to buy The chandelier has fifteen G9 sockets for bulbs of up to 14 W each. Bulbs are not included, so a set of fifteen has to be added to the price and the colour of the light is yours to choose — living and dining rooms usually call for 2700–3000 K, a warm, slightly yellow light. The glass cups open upwards rather than downwards. The light therefore travels mainly towards the ceiling and returns reflected and diffused across the room, instead of falling as a cone onto the surface below. Each shade lifts off its socket separately, which makes changing a bulb and washing the glass straightforward. Build and installation The frame is steel lacquered in matt black and the shades are white glass — a pairing the manufacturer describes as classic. The arms meet the cups through spherical ends, so the line of each arm runs unbroken from the centre out to the shade. The cable and the terminal block are hidden by the round canopy.
