Marietta is a three-light semi-flush ceiling fitting 40 cm across, with metalwork finished in antique brass plating and a ring filled with vertical rods of clear glass. The rods diffuse the light of the lamps, so the lit points stay visible through the glass while their glare is softened. It is a semi-flush build: it is screwed to the ceiling rather than hung on wires or a flex, which is why the manufacturer recommends it for rooms with low ceilings, where a conventional chandelier would be in the way.
