LovYa is a dining chair made from solid teak with a natural finish. The backrest is T-shaped: an upright pillar rises from the middle of the seat and ends in a crosswise, slightly curved board. The seat is hollowed into a shallow saddle, and the four tapered legs are tied together by a low frame of stretchers. How much room it takes at the table The chair is 49 cm wide and 51 cm deep. The width is the figure to compare with your tabletop: at 49 cm per chair, three stand along the long side of a 160 cm table with gaps between them. It weighs 8.55 kg — a number worth multiplying by the number of chairs if a whole set has to be carried upstairs. The backrest stands 83 cm above the floor, roughly 8 cm above the top of a standard 75 cm dining table, so the chair cannot be pushed entirely under it. To walk behind a pulled-out chair, add 80 cm of clear passage to the 51 cm depth: 131 cm from the table edge to the wall. How it sits The seat is not flat but hollowed into a gentle saddle, so the wood follows the body instead of meeting it with an edge. The backrest board is curved rather than straight, which puts its whole width against your back. There is no upholstery and no cushion — you sit directly on the wood. Teak, and where the chair may stand The frame is worked by hand from teak in Indonesia. The natural finish shows honey-gold tones and a pronounced grain that differs from piece to piece, so no two chairs of this model carry the same figure. The maker intends the chair for indoor use only. Placing it outdoors, even under cover, is not covered by the warranty, because humidity and weather damage the wood. Care Day to day, dusting with a soft dry cloth or a brush is enough. Now and then wipe the wood with a damp cloth and mild soap, then dry it thoroughly — it should never be left saturated.
