DAVOS 7647 is an outdoor wall light shaped as a 10 cm cube, made of aluminium in a dark grey finish. The housing is closed at the sides and open at the top and the bottom, so the light leaves it in two beams — one up the wall, one down. How much light it gives and in what colour The built-in LED module draws 12 W and puts out 1100 lm — more than a traditional 60 W bulb, split between the two beams. 4000 K is neutral light with no yellow cast; on render and stone it draws a cooler picture than the 3000 K fittings it usually hangs beside on a facade. Colour rendering is Ra 80. The fitting is not dimmable, and the LED module is built in and cannot be replaced — the manufacturer rates it at 20,000 hours and 30,000 on/off cycles, so that is the life of the whole luminaire. Where it may be mounted IP54 means protection against dust and against splashing water from any direction, so the light can sit on an unsheltered wall, on a terrace and on a balcony. The manufacturer places it in protection class I: the circuit needs an earth conductor, and without earthing it must not be connected. The 10 × 10 cm cube projects 10 cm from the wall and weighs 0.61 kg. It runs on 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz straight from the building supply. What is in the box The light source is part of the fitting, so no bulbs need to be bought. The box holds two screws with wall plugs for the mounting plate and an Allen key for the screw that locks the body onto that plate. The wires are joined in the terminal block under the housing.
