BALDO is a ceiling light built from three rectangular frames that overlap one another in a single plane. The frames are black and each one holds a white acrylic diffuser. The structure is aluminium and mounts directly against the ceiling. How much ceiling it takes up The whole composition fits inside a rectangle of 100 × 50.7 cm. That is the outline to compare with the ceiling area above the intended mounting point — the body is asymmetric, so its drawing reads from anywhere in the room rather than only from underneath. The central, upright frame is 25 cm wide and the arms of the horizontal frames 13 cm. The fitting stands 8.5 cm clear of the ceiling, and that is the only vertical measurement that matters during installation. It hangs from neither cables nor a rod, so in a room with a low ceiling it does not take away headroom the way a pendant does. How much light it gives and how it is controlled The built-in LED module draws 58 W and delivers 3455 lm. That is general-lighting territory — more than four times the output of an old 60 W incandescent bulb — so BALDO is meant as a room's main light rather than as an addition to other fittings. The light colour switches between 2700 K, 3500 K and 5000 K: from warm, slightly yellow light through neutral white to cool light. The fitting also dims. Both functions run from the remote control the maker supplies in the box, so there is no dimmer to buy and no wall switch to replace. Construction and supply The frames are aluminium finished in black and the diffusers are acrylic. The light source is integrated: the fitting lights up as soon as it is wired in and needs no bulb bought separately, but once the module reaches the end of its life it cannot be replaced at home. The luminaire runs on 230 V mains and is intended for indoor rooms. The maker offers a matching model in white in the same range.Meer tonen
