Madara Mini II GU10 is a surface-mounted spotlight: a cylindrical head held in a metal yoke, with a round base plate that screws to the ceiling above it. The housing is aluminium and steel, black throughout — the head cylinder as well as the yoke and the base. The head tilts in the yoke, so the direction of the light is set after the fitting is installed. How much room it takes and how it mounts From the ceiling to the lower edge the fitting measures 117 mm, and the head alone is 120 mm long and 56 mm across. Compare those figures with the clearance at the mounting point: a head tilted to the side needs more room than the diameter of the base plate suggests. The base plate screws straight into a ceiling or a wall and the whole fitting weighs 0.26 kg. It is class I equipment — the connection needs an earth conductor in the installation box. Which lamp you need to buy The spotlight takes one lamp with a GU10 cap and is sold without a light source. The manufacturer sets a 10 W ceiling for an LED lamp, so colour and brightness are your choice — warm 2700 K and neutral 4000 K lamps both fall within 10 W. The lamp goes in once the front ring of the head is unscrewed: the GU10 holder sits inside the cylinder, and the ring screws back on to hold the lamp in place. The fitting has no driver and no control electronics of its own. Dimming therefore depends on a lamp described as dimmable and on a dimmer in the circuit. Where it can work The manufacturer intends the spotlight for indoor use only. The operating range of −20 to +40 °C covers unheated rooms as well, as long as they stay dry.
