BISCUIT is a desk lamp built from two parts: an aluminium cylinder 6 cm across and a folded sheet of aluminium with a rounded, wavy edge resting at an angle over its open top. It stands 15 cm tall, is finished in matt powder-coated brown, and the cable leaves the bottom of the body. How much desk it takes and how far the cable reaches The base cylinder measures 6 cm in diameter, and the lamp's widest outline — set by the overhanging shade — fits inside a 13 × 12 cm area. At 15 cm tall this is a fitting to stand on the worktop beside a keyboard, not a light for the whole room. At 0.6 kg it moves with one hand. The cable is 180 cm long, which is the distance you have between the lamp and the socket — compare it with your own desk before deciding which side the lamp will stand on. The light it gives The source is an LED strip set deep inside the aluminium cylinder. Light leaves through the top and bounces off the underside of the tilted shade, so it never reaches the eye directly: what you see lit is the patch of desk, not the fitting itself. The source produces 755 lm, roughly what an old 60 W bulb gave, and draws 6 W. The 3000 K colour is warm white — clearly warmer than daylight, but without the yellow cast of 2700 K. Colour rendering is Ra 93. At that figure paper, fabric and paint colours look almost as they do in daylight, which matters when reading, drawing or working with colour samples. Controls, build and the collection The light source is included and permanently built in — an LED strip is not swapped like a bulb — and the manufacturer covers the fitting with a five-year warranty. A rocker switch sits on the cable and the lead ends in a plug, so the lamp needs no assembly and no wiring. The housing is aluminium, powder-coated matt, and the cable is black. BISCUIT is made in Poland, and besides the desk lamp the collection holds a pendant and a wall light; the desk lamp itself comes in 19 colours.
