FIGURE XL N°1 is a parrot figure cast in resin and finished in glossy gold. The bird sits sideways on a thin gold hoop, wings folded and crest raised, with a long tail falling below the hoop. The hoop ends at the top in a hook that the whole piece hangs from. How big it is and how much room it needs inside a shade The figure measures 28 cm wide and 35 cm high. XL is the largest letter in the FIGURE family, and Las Plumas lists this version under the code LPFIGXL01 — the other sizes carry their own codes and their own dimensions, so the letter is what decides, not the number. The 28 cm width is also the smallest internal clearance a shade has to offer if the parrot is to hang free rather than rest against the inside wall — measure that clearance in your own lamp before ordering. The 35 cm height adds to the height of the lamp itself, because the tail reaches below the bottom edge of the shade and stays in view. What is in the box This is the accessory on its own: the figure with its hoop and hook, without a lamp, shade, lampholder or bulb. The manufacturer gives a single intended use — hanging inside a lamp — so it is bought for a fitting you already own and hooked in by the loop on the hoop. How it is made The casting is resin rather than metal, so at 35 cm it weighs little and does not load the shade the way a metal casting of the same size would. The surface is smooth and glossy in one even gold tone across the whole silhouette — from the crest to the tip of the tail — and the casting picks out the lie of the feathers on the wings and tail.Meer tonen
