Luces Exclusivas BAILA flush ceiling light matt black – 4x G9, Ø 28 cm, glass globes, LE43378
BAILA LE43378 is a flush ceiling light built from a round, matt black base plate 28 cm across, with four opal white glass globes screwed to its underside. The globes come in two sizes — Ø 10 cm and Ø 8 cm — and sit irregularly, so the fitting reads as a cluster rather than a row. 28 cm across and 16 cm deep The base plate is 28 cm in diameter and 2.5 cm thick, and the whole fitting drops 16 cm below the ceiling. That is a height that clears a low ceiling too — at 240 cm the bottom of the globes stays 224 cm above the floor, well over head height. The maker's card gives 17 cm; the difference from the drawing is one centimetre. The plate screws straight to the ceiling and covers the junction box — this is a surface-mounted fitting, with no cut-out and no spring clips, so the ceiling does not have to be a suspended one. The four G9 lamps have to be bought separately There are four G9 sockets and the maker caps each one at 5 W. No lamps are included, so you choose them yourself — and that cap is a real buying constraint: an ordinary 25 or 40 W G9 halogen capsule exceeds it, so an LED version is what fits. You pick the light colour at the same time; the maker states neither lumens nor colour temperature, because both depend entirely on the lamps you fit. The opal glass scatters light in every direction, so the four globes throw light sideways and up onto the ceiling as well as down. Supply is 230 V, and the IP20 rating keeps the fitting in dry interiors — it cannot go over a shower or a bath. Aluminium and glass The plate and the globe holders are aluminium finished in matt black; the shades are opal glass. Matt black does not pick up reflections from the room, so with the lamp off it is mainly the four white globes that are visible. The maker publishes neither a weight nor a dimming rating — the latter is decided by the lamp and the dimmer in the circuit.Show more
