VIDEX LUCA is a slim LED floodlight in a white cast-aluminium housing, with a panel of SMD diodes behind a plastic cover and a finned heatsink at the back. A U-shaped bracket lets the fitting be tilted through 180°, and the manufacturer allows both wall and ceiling mounting. How much light it gives, and how wide Drawing 20 W, the fitting delivers 1800 lm — roughly what two old 60 W bulbs gave together. The colour temperature is 5000 K, which the manufacturer calls neutral white; peak intensity is 1350 cd and colour rendering Ra ≥ 80. The beam is 90°, so it is wide: aimed straight down from 3 m it covers a circle about 6 m across. That is a distribution for flooding a whole surface — a yard, a driveway, a work bay — rather than for picking out one detail. Where it may be mounted The housing is rated IP65 with IK07 impact resistance, and the working temperature runs from −20 to +50 °C, so the fitting can stay on a façade all year. The data sheet also permits mounting directly on normally flammable surfaces, which on a timber wall decides whether it may go there at all. Wiring and size A 20 cm H05RN-F 3 × 0.75 mm² lead comes out of the back, with no plug. Three cores mean a circuit with a protective earth, so the floodlight is wired permanently into a junction box rather than plugged into a socket. The manufacturer does not provide for dimming. The body measures 127 × 103 mm and is 19 mm thick, weighing 225 g, so the load on the wall is negligible. The diode is integrated and cannot be replaced: the manufacturer states 30,000 hours, 20,000 switching cycles, energy class F and a two-year warranty. One fitting comes in the box.Show more
