Ring MOD013PL-06BS1 is a pendant light built around a brass-finished metal hoop 58 cm across. Six opal glass spheres 12 cm in diameter sit on the hoop, alternating: three above the ring and three below it. The whole thing hangs from a round ceiling rose on three wires and one black cable. How big it is and how high to hang it The hoop measures 58 cm across, and the body of the fitting — from the top of the upper spheres to the bottom of the lower ones — takes up 28 cm of height. The hanging height is set on the wires anywhere between 28 and 178 cm from the ceiling, so the same fitting suits a flat of ordinary height and equally a double-height room. Above a table the lower edge usually sits 70–80 cm over the top; 58 cm across keeps the proportion over a top roughly a metre wide. The rose is 8 cm in diameter and 2.5 cm deep, and the fitting weighs 2.4 kg. It is built to protection class I, so an earth conductor has to reach the ceiling box. Six light points closed inside shades Each sphere holds one G9 lampholder rated to 25 W. The light therefore comes from six places spread around the circle rather than from a single point, which gives softer shadows on a table top than one fitting of the same brightness. The opal glass encloses the source completely, so the lamp is not visible and does not dazzle even when the fitting hangs low. The 25 W ceiling per holder is a halogen figure — a G9 LED lamp reaches a similar brightness on a few watts. The maker states the fitting is not dimmable, so the brightness is settled by the choice of lamps. Build The structure is metal with a brass finish — the hoop, the rose and the rings holding the spheres all carry the same tone.
