Asker DC1311GR is a garden bollard shaped like an inverted L: a slender, rectangular cast-aluminium profile topped by a cantilevered head from which light falls straight down. The form is functional rather than decorative — the overhang pushes the beam clear of the post itself and lights a band of ground beside it, while the shielded source stays invisible to anyone looking from the side. 24 V supply — the fixture needs a driver This is the one thing to plan before buying: Asker DC1311GR runs on 24 V DC and does not include a power supply. The installation needs an external, voltage-stabilised 24 V DC driver rated for the number of fixtures on the circuit. In return the fixture is protection class III — a safety extra-low-voltage (SELV) circuit with no earth conductor, which matters in a garden where the cable runs underground between planting and lawn. Selecting the driver and executing the installation are jobs for a suitably qualified person. The light Two LED modules draw 8.5 W between them. The modules themselves produce 1064 lumens, but with the shielding and downward aim 533 lm leaves the fixture — and that is the figure describing the real effect on a path. Luminaire efficacy is 62.7 lm/W, colour temperature 3000 K (warm white), CRI 80, and colour consistency falls inside a SDCM3 ellipse, so a row of bollards along a drive will glow in one tint without drifting pink or green. The LED module is suitable for dimming and, if ever needed, replaceable — by a qualified installer. It does not pollute the sky The ULOR figure is 0%: not one lumen goes above the horizontal. The BUG rating is B0-U1-G0 and the manufacturer classifies the fixture as dark-sky friendly. In practice that means the light lands where it is meant to — on the ground — instead of brightening a neighbour's windows and the sky above the plot. The lens is transparent structured polycarbonate, UV stabilised — polycarbonate does not shatter when a stone flies out from under a mower, and the UV stabilisation prevents yellowing after a few seasons. Sealing comes from a silicone gasket and an EPDM cable gland. IP65 means fully dust-tight and resistant to water jets; IK10 means resistant to a 20 J impact. Installation The base has four ø8 mm holes at 18 × 50 mm spacing. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 4 mm² and allow the circuit to be looped through to the next fixture (also 2 × 4 mm²), while the gland accepts round cable of 5–12 mm diameter. The manufacturer offers a concreting anchor (1907ZX0009), ground anchor (1908GA0009), concrete-foundation adapter (1909GA0010) and mounting adapters 3081XX0009 and 3090GA0009 separately — none is included in the box and each must be ordered on its own. Colour versions The same bollard comes in seven finishes: aluminium (AL, RAL 9006), black (BL, 9005), cement grey (CG, 7033), copper brown (CB, 8004), corten (CS, approx. 8011), graphite (GR, 7016 — this version) and grey beige (GB, 7006). The Asker family also includes a shorter 55 cm bollard and wall lights, so a whole entrance area can be lit in one design language. About the manufacturer Norlys AS of Oslo specialises in outdoor lighting designed for the Scandinavian climate — with the emphasis on resistance to damp, frost and salt.
