Mandal 1370GB is an outdoor wall light throwing light up and down, cylindrical, 9.2 × 12.2 × 18 cm, in beige grey. It is supplied with GU10 LED lamps included – 7.8 W, 500 lm, 2700 K. Lamps included – and here that matters The 1370 variant differs from its sibling 1371 in exactly this: it comes with GU10 LEDs chosen by the manufacturer, 7.8 W and 500 lm together at 2700 K. The 1371 is the same fitting but empty, for lamps bought separately (2 × max 4 W). The consequence is practical: the published figures – CRI 97, efficacy 64.1 lm/W, power factor 0.8 and SDCM3 – describe the complete set, not the housing alone. On a fitting bought without lamps, such numbers simply do not exist. CRI 97 – a figure you do not meet on a façade A colour rendering index of 97 is close to daylight and practically unheard of in exterior lighting – a typical façade fitting stops around 70–80. It shows on the material the light runs across: brick, timber, coloured render and stone keep their colour instead of turning grey. On an up-down fitting whose entire job is to draw the wall's texture with light, that is not a catalogue figure but a real effect on the elevation. SDCM3 speaks to colour consistency: several Mandals mounted side by side will light in the same shade of white, with no visible difference between units. Two narrow cones, 25° The fitting throws two ways, in a 25° cone up and down. The narrow angle gives its characteristic effect: two distinct, symmetrical triangles of light on the wall with a crisp edge – not a diffuse wash. The BUG B0-U3-G0 classification completes the picture. G0 is a zero glare rating – it does not dazzle, because the lamps sit deep inside the cylinder. B0 means no sideways spill. U3 and ULOR 50% say plainly that half the flux goes upward – by definition intended on an up-down fitting, but worth remembering where light-pollution rules apply. Dimming: yes, but with a specific dimmer type The set is dimmable, and the manufacturer names the required technique: trailing-edge phase dimming. That is not a detail – trailing-edge dimmers are usually marked RC or C, and connecting to a leading-edge dimmer (R/L) produces flicker or no control at the bottom of the range.
