VALVER Luces Exclusivas Pendant Lamp LE46211
VALVER LE46211 is a linear pendant 130 cm long: several slim luminous arms meet in a flat zigzag, hung on two thin cables under a single round canopy. The aluminium is finished in champagne gold and the light leaves through a micro-prismatic acrylic diffuser. Its size and where it hangs The body is 130 cm long — the figure to compare with the length of the top it is meant to hang over; above a shorter table the zigzag runs past its outline. The maker gives 228 cm as the maximum suspension height, the distance from the ceiling to the lower edge with the cables fully extended. Over a table the lower edge usually ends up 70–80 cm above the top, which lights the whole surface and still lets people sitting opposite see each other over it. The whole fitting hangs from one canopy, so the ceiling needs a single outlet even though there are two cables. How much light it gives The LED is integrated into the fitting and installed at the factory — it is not changed like a bulb. It draws 47 W and delivers 2374 lm, roughly the output of three old 60 W bulbs, which is enough for the fitting to be the main light over a table rather than an addition to it. Colour temperature is chosen between 2700 K and 3000 K, both warm: the first clearly yellowish, the second closer to white. The micro-prismatic diffuser spreads the light along the full length of the arms, so the lit surface stays even and carries no hard point when seen from the side. Dimming and supply The fitting dims only from a TRIAC dimmer, the ordinary phase dimmer fitted in a back box. Controllers using 0–10 V or DALI will not work, so the control has to be planned into the wiring before installation. Supply is 230 V and the IP20 rating restricts it to dry interiors. Build The body is aluminium painted in a champagne gold shade and the covers are acrylic. The form is modernist: one angled module repeated without ornament, which makes the fitting read as a horizontal line rather than a volume.
