SPLASH MOD282PL-L8G3K1 is a small pendant 20 cm across, hung on a thin wire beneath a round, satin-gold canopy of 12 × 12 cm.A shade inside a shade — hence the nameFor the Splash series Maytoni uses a double glass shade. The outer one is clear and acts as a casing; suspended inside it is a second, opal element in the shape of a falling drop — that is what carries the light and what gave the series its name. The effect is that through the clear glass you see a frozen "splash" rather than a filament or a diode.Three metres of wireThis is the model’s most practical feature. The drop adjusts between 43.1 cm and 333.1 cm — over three metres — so the fitting is meant for tall rooms, stairwells and spaces with a mezzanine, where an ordinary pendant stops a metre below the ceiling. At 20 cm across and 1.38 kg, several hung at different heights read as one composition rather than a row of lamps.How much lightThe LED module draws 7 W and delivers 620 lumens at 3000 K, spread all the way round (360°). This is a decorative, accent fitting — 620 lm is roughly one traditional 60 W bulb, so over a dining table a group makes sense rather than a single unit. The G energy class follows from the construction: some of the light stays in the double glass, which is the price of the look rather than a fault of the diode. Colour rendering is CRI 80.What the fitting does not doThe manufacturer states explicitly that it is not dimmable — do not wire it to a dimmer. The light source is permanently integrated, so at the end of its life the whole fitting is replaced, not a bulb. IP20 protection confines it to dry interiors.Installation and finishThe fittings are aluminium in satin gold, the shades are glass. Supply 50 Hz AC 220–240 V, hard-wired to a ceiling box; the luminaire is protection class I, so the earth conductor must be connected.
