Share DL051-01-GU10-RD-WMG is a round recessed downlight 14 cm across, mounted without a trim — once the ceiling is skimmed, all that shows is the conical reflector in matt gold. The housing above the ceiling is white, made of aluminium and plastic, and the whole fitting weighs 0.17 kg. What opening it needs and how much space above the ceiling The manufacturer gives a mounting hole of 93 mm diameter and an installation depth with the lamp of 133 mm. The second figure decides whether the fitting goes in at all: a typical suspended ceiling needs at least 13.3 cm clear above the board, while the housing itself is only 5.5 cm — the lamp and the supply cable take the rest. Maytoni intends it for a plaster finish: the fitting has side wings with fixing holes that are skimmed over along with the ceiling. That is what removes the visible trim ring — and it is also an installation that cannot be undone without breaking into the surface. What light it gives and which lamp to fit The fitting takes one GU10 lamp of up to 10 W. It is the housing alone, with no built-in LED module — so the colour of the light, the output and the beam angle are set by the lamp you put in it, not by the fitting. The manufacturer declares the fitting as not dimmable. If you are planning a wall dimmer, that is the figure that rules this one out. The lamp sits deep inside the cone, above the plane of the ceiling, so it is not in direct view from standing height — the light leaves through the opening, downwards. Build and supply The reflector is finished in matt gold and the housing is left white — below the ceiling only the gold cone is visible, and the white disappears into the void. The fitting runs on 220–240 V, 50 Hz and is protection class II, meaning double insulation: no earth conductor is needed to connect it. The manufacturer intends this model for living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms, as well as hotel and restaurant interiors.
