DARLING 3083 is a shallow flush ceiling light, 25 cm across and only 8 cm deep. A chromed cylinder with a narrow polished ring at its lower edge is closed by opal glass — it lights across its whole underside, with no bulbs in view.Eight centimetres deepThat is the dimension that decides where it goes. A luminaire this shallow takes no space out of a room with a low ceiling; it fits a hallway, a wardrobe or a stairwell where a pendant would be in the way. At the same time, 25 cm is the small size in this family — meant for lighting a corridor, a small utility bathroom or a pantry, not for carrying a living room on its own.Two E27 sockets under opal glassThe fitting has two E27 sockets, each rated for a lamp of up to 15 W — in practice any current LED bulb. Two points rather than one has a concrete purpose in a body this flat: the light spreads evenly across the whole glass disc instead of forming a single bright patch in the middle. Lamps are not included, so the colour temperature and output are yours to choose.The whole DARLING family in one shapeArgon makes the same shape in five sizes: 25 cm (2 lights, this model), 35 cm (2 lights), 45 cm (3 lights), 60 cm (5 lights) and 75 cm (6 lights). The chrome version is the only glossy one — the other finishes in this size are textured black (3081), white (3082), dark grey (3080) and gold (871).Build and installationThe body is chromed steel and the diffuser glass. The fitting weighs 1.5 kg and mounts directly to the ceiling on a base of the same diameter. The IP20 rating is for dry interiors.
