Compatible with typical flow rate analytical columns up to 4,500 psi and 5 ml/minute. Also used as a union to connect tubing, but with a filter. Not recommended for use with UHPLC pressure ranges. Economical way to protect your columns and instruments. Re-usable filter holder. Easy to install after the pump, before the injector. Easy to replace the filters. The universal connections (fits all standard HPLC threads and pilot lengths) can be installed with a wrench or hand tightened. When these filters are in use, and pressure starts to rise, simply disconnect (after pressure in the column is at atmospheric), dispose of and replace with a suggested, new 0.188 inch, 0.5 um stainless steel, PEEK or Titanium PEEK-encased filter; sold separately but any filter that is 1/4 inch OD and 1/16th inch thick should work.
