Mercer Small Wall Sconce - 1 Light Source - Matte Black by Elstead

Name: Mercer Small Wall Sconce - 1 Light Source - Matte Black by Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

The small Mercer wall light by Hinkley takes the form of a flat, round drum in matte black: at the front a disc of etched opal glass in a thick steel ring, at the back a round base, and between them a narrow gap through which light escapes. It is distributed by Elstead Lighting. Dimensions The light measures 17 × 17 cm and projects just 9.8 cm from the wall; it weighs 0.72 kg. The shallow body stays out of the way, so it suits places where a projecting light would be in the way — a narrow corridor, above a bed or by the stairs. Bulb It has an E14 lampholder for one bulb of up to 40 W; no bulb is included. You choose the colour — for bedrooms or hallways a warm white of 2700–3000 K is the usual choice. The etched opal glass diffuses the light so the disc glows evenly with no visible bulb glare. The fitting is compatible with dimmable bulbs, so with one of those and a dimmer switch you can adjust the brightness. It is Class I — it needs an earth conductor — and is for indoor use. Style The manufacturer links Mercer to mid-century modern design and vintage glamour: the solid metal ring and circular glass make a decorative yet simple accent. Matte black sharpens the outline of the disc against a pale wall. Use According to the catalogue, it suits living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways and corridors — anywhere soft wall light is wanted.Εμφάνιση περισσότερων
