ZAMBELIS 25372 is a pendant made of two rings, 60 cm and 80 cm across, hung on cables from one shared ceiling cup. The body is sandy black aluminium, and the light leaves through acrylic diffusers upwards and downwards at the same time. How much room it takes and how low it hangs The rings hang beside each other at different heights and together span more than a metre — a figure to compare with the length of your table or the free run of ceiling you have. The ring profile is 1.8 × 5 cm in section, so the fitting stays visually light despite the diameter. The suspension cables are 200 cm and adjustable, and the whole arrangement is 210 cm tall. Over a table they are usually shortened so the lower edge of the lower ring sits 70-80 cm above the top. The ceiling cup is a disc 20 cm across and 4 cm deep. How much light it gives and which way The manufacturer states 6294 lm at 118 W and 3000 K. That is roughly eight times the old 60 W bulb — whole-room lighting rather than an addition to it. 3000 K is warm, slightly yellow light. The fitting emits in two directions: part of the output goes down onto the table or floor, part goes up onto the ceiling, which then works as a reflector. The room gets fewer hard shadows as a result. Colour rendering is Ra 80, and the colour spread between the diodes is given as SDCM below 2, so both rings glow in the same shade of white. Control, connection and service life Brightness is set with a Triac dimmer — the same kind that handled filament lamps — but the dimmer has to be in the installation, as none is supplied. Supply is 220-240 V at 50/60 Hz; the LED module runs at 32-42 V DC and 1500 mA, which the built-in driver takes care of. The diodes are permanently built in, so it is the module that gets replaced rather than a lamp; the manufacturer quotes 30,000 hours to L70B50. The fitting is protection class I and needs an earth conductor, and IP20 means dry interiors.
