The GPL380 is a round ceiling light 23 cm across and 5 cm deep, with a thermoplastic body finished in matt white. A flat white diffuser closes the whole underside, so the light leaves the entire lower surface rather than a single point. The LED module is built in permanently. How much ceiling it takes up The fitting sits flat against the ceiling and projects 5 cm below it — a figure worth comparing with the clearance above a door, or with your room height if the ceiling is low. The 23 cm disc covers a standard installation box and stays discreet in a small room. It weighs 0.81 kg, so no reinforced fixing is needed. The manufacturer intends it for indoor use only. How much light it gives and which colour you pick You choose the light colour once, before the fitting is finally mounted: 3000 K is warm white, 4000 K neutral, and 5000 K distinctly cool. The output follows that choice — 2265 lm, 2467 lm and 2473 lm respectively. Each of those is roughly what three old 60 W bulbs used to give, so one fitting covers the main light in a hallway, a corridor or a stairwell. A colour rendering index above 90 means colours look almost as they do in daylight. The 80° beam sends the light downwards, onto the surface below the fitting. The light cannot be dimmed — it works on and off only, so a wall dimmer has no use here. Power and running it The fitting runs on 220–240 V and draws 25 W. Insulation class II means no earth conductor is needed to connect it.
