GRETA 2421-48 is a Paul Neuhaus pendant with a metal globe 40 cm in diameter. The shade is openwork: a gold-coloured perforated skin lets light through, closed at the top by a rust-brown cap. Above the globe hang a thin cable and a cylindrical canopy painted brown. How large it is and where it hangs The globe is 40 cm across — compare that with a tabletop 80–90 cm wide: the shade stays over the middle of the table and does not overrun the edges. Overall height is 150 cm from ceiling to the bottom of the globe, so you match the lower rim to your own room height and to the 70–80 cm rule above a tabletop (a dining table is typically 75 cm high). It mounts on the ceiling. The instruction sheet shows a hook and a rawlplug in the box, and a two-core connection, N and L. The manufacturer rates the fitting for indoor use. The GRETA series also has a smaller globe 2420-48, 30 cm in diameter — that is a separate article, not a colourway of this globe. What lamp it needs The fitting takes one E27 lamp up to 60 W. No bulb is included, so you choose colour and brightness. For light at a table people usually pick 2700–3000 K, a warm, slightly yellow light close to a classic incandescent lamp. The openwork shade does not fully hide the source: light passes through the perforation and throws a mesh of spots onto the walls — that is visible on the lifestyle shot against the brick wall. Dimming depends on the lamp and a dimmer, not on the fitting: there is no built-in driver. Supply is 230 V. Finish and what arrives in the box The globe is metal, gold-toned, with rust in the openwork; the canopy is painted brown. The assembly sheet states that parts in this series are originally rusted, so the colour can differ from piece to piece — that is a trait of this finish, not a fault. The box holds the fitting, a hook and a rawlplug. You buy an E27 lamp up to 60 W separately.
