S047 is a trimless recessed fitting cast in gypsum: a square 8 × 8 cm body with a funnel-shaped recess, a factory-fitted GU10 lampholder at the bottom of it. The gypsum is finished in Pure White, and two perforated sprung metal wings hold the fitting in the ceiling. The opening, and the space needed above the ceiling The ceiling opening is a square of 8.2 × 8.2 cm, while the body itself measures 8 × 8 cm and stands 5.3 cm tall. The manufacturer nonetheless calls for 12 cm of clear space above the board — larger than the fitting itself, and the figure that decides whether the installation fits. Compare it with the gap above your own ceiling. The install is trimless: there is no ring to cover the edge of the opening, so the joint between gypsum and ceiling is filled and painted over. Gypsum takes paint the same way the ceiling does, so once finished only the square cut remains visible. No supply cable is included — bringing power to the point is part of the installation. Which lamp, and how much power The GU10 lampholder is supplied; the lamp is not, so one has to be bought. The manufacturer permits at most 35 W — a limit on the lamp, not the fitting's own draw. An ordinary GU10 LED takes a few watts and stays far below it; the limit only matters with halogen burners. As a light source the manufacturer recommends its own OSRAM COIN 50 G3 module, also not included. That module can be dimmed, but needs a separate driver — On-Off, Phase Cut and DALI versions are named. An ordinary GU10 lamp screwed into the holder needs none. The light it gives The data sheet leaves the colour temperature, lumen output, CRI and beam angle rows empty. That is not a gap: the fitting is sold without a light source, so colour and brightness are decided by the lamp you fit. The body sets it deep in the gypsum, and the light leaves through the narrow square cut. Build and connection The body is a gypsum casting in Pure White, and the manufacturer lists this model as handmade. With its 12 × 12 × 10 cm packaging the fitting weighs 0.2 kg.
