eRock Marketing is a price comparison service for online shops, built as a Comparison Shopping Service (CSS) for Google Shopping. This page sets out who is behind it, what the service does, and what it expressly does not do.

What eRock Marketing is

eRock Marketing is a price comparison service for online shops. It takes part in Google's CSS programme as a Comparison Shopping Service and can serve Shopping ads on behalf of participating merchants.

The service has two sides. Shoppers compare products, prices and shipping costs from listed online shops here and are forwarded to the shop. Online shops, agencies and brands use us as the CSS through which their Google Shopping ads run.

What a CSS is

A Comparison Shopping Service is the service through which Google Shopping ads are served in the European Economic Area. Every Shopping ad runs through a CSS — either the one Google operates itself or an independent provider. Providers differ in the margin they add to the merchant's bid, not in the ad itself.

We are one such independent provider. Merchants keep their own Google Ads account, their campaigns, their bidding strategies and their conversion history. Their products additionally appear in this price comparison.

How we make money

We are funded by a monthly fee that participating merchants pay for CSS membership. Using the site is free for shoppers, and nothing is charged to them when they reach a shop through us.

The order of offers on a product page follows the total price of product plus shipping, and nothing else. The fee does not buy placement: a paying merchant does not rank higher because they pay, only if their offer is cheaper.

Where the prices come from

All price and product details come from the data feeds of the respective merchants. Prices and availability change; what counts is always the price in the merchant's shop at the time of purchase. We are not a party to the purchase contract.

The respective provider is responsible for the content on the linked merchant pages. Infringements brought to our attention lead to removal of the link in question.

What we are not

Not a shop, not a marketplace: We sell no products and process no orders. Purchase contracts are concluded exclusively between the buyer and the merchant.
Not Google Shopping: Google Shopping is Google's own comparison service. We are an independent provider competing in the same auction environment.
Not a replacement for an agency or a Google Ads account: When switching, the merchant's Google Ads account, campaigns and agency all stay in place. We do not automatically take over campaign management.

The catalogue

The catalogue follows Google's product taxonomy. Product pages bring together the offers of several shops for one product and state the cheapest available price along with the number of shops compared.
