ESPINAR LE44498 is a pendant with three shades hung on black cords at different heights below a single round white ceiling plate. The shades are clear, with a ribbed wall and a flattened drum shape, each closed at the top by a gold dome.How big it is and how much room it needs The whole fitting stays within a 50 × 50 cm footprint — a figure to compare with the width of the table or sofa it is to hang over. One shade measures 16 cm across and 9 cm deep. Overall height is 190 cm, measured from the ceiling to the lowest shade. Over a table the drop is usually set so the bottom edge of the lowest shade sits 70–80 cm above the top; over a sofa the room height is what governs it, because the shades hang stepped.How much light it gives Each shade holds its own LED module; together they draw 18 W and give 1151 lm. That is about one and a half old 60 W bulbs, so ESPINAR works as light over one particular place — a table, an island, a sofa — rather than as a room's only lighting. 3000 K is warm white, close to the light of a traditional bulb. The sources are built in permanently: no bulbs to buy, and none to change either — when the modules reach the end of their life the whole fitting is replaced. The manufacturer states the fitting cannot be dimmed, so a wall dimmer will not work with it.What it is made of Steel, aluminium and acrylic: the ceiling plate and the gold fittings are metal, the shades acrylic. The ribbing spreads the light sideways, and the clear material leaves the module inside on show — this is a fitting that gets looked at closely, so it belongs where it will be seen.
