Bologna 314BL is a 117.5 cm bollard light: a clear 25 cm globe, held in a ring with visible ribs, sits on a slim column of powder-coated cast aluminium in black RAL 9005. Light leaves the globe symmetrically, upwards and downwards. How tall it is and how it is set 117.5 cm is roughly bar-counter height, so the fitting lights from above the kerb and the planting rather than from under it — which suits leading a path or a driveway, where the light has to reach further than a few tens of centimetres around the base. The base bolts down through two ø5.5 mm holes spaced 90 mm apart, so it needs a prepared footing or an anchor. Norlys lists a concreting anchor for it under index 307ZX0009, sold separately. The terminals take conductors up to 2×2.5 mm² and allow a loop connection, so the supply can be carried on to the next bollard in the same run. Which lamp to buy for it The fitting takes an E27 lamp in an A55–A60 envelope; the manufacturer notes that the end user replaces the source themselves, and sets the ceiling at LED max 9 W. As a matched source it names an E27 LED of 806 lm at 2700 K, dimmable — a useful reference point, since 806 lm is what the old 60 W incandescent gave and 2700 K is warm, yellowish light. The globe is clear, so the lamp itself stays visible — its shape and tone affect how the fitting looks, which is not the case behind an opal cover. The ring around the globe screens the source from the viewer's side and cuts glare, while the upper part of the globe stays open. What it is made of and what it withstands The body is powder-coated cast aluminium, the globe is PMMA, a silicone gasket does the sealing, and the cable enters through an EPDM gland. An IP54 rating means protection against dust and against splashing water from any direction, which is to say against rain driven at an angle.
