MAGNUM BULB 1268 is a pendant light made of five slim metal sleeves hung on black cords from a single round ceiling plate. Each sleeve is black with a vertical gold panel on the front, and the bulb projects below its rim and stays exposed. The cords are of different lengths, so the sleeves hang in a cascade. How big it is and where to hang it The ceiling plate and the spread of the sleeves stay within a 30 × 30 cm circle, and the whole fitting measures 120 cm including the suspension. Compare that figure with your own ceiling height: above a table the bottom of the lowest bulb should sit 70–80 cm above the top. The tight 30 cm footprint makes this a vertical point over a round table, over a kitchen island or in a stairwell, rather than a wide bar over a long worktop. The set weighs 2.5 kg packed. How much light it gives and which bulbs to buy The fitting takes five E27 lamps of up to 60 W each. No bulbs are included, so you choose the brightness and the colour yourself: five lamps of roughly 800 lm each give the main lighting of a medium room, and 2700–3000 K gives warm, slightly yellow light. The lamp projects below the metal sleeve with nothing covering it, so its shape is part of the fitting — decorative bulbs with a visible filament are the usual choice for a frame like this. The sleeve shields the lamp only from above, so the light goes downwards and sideways. The fitting has no built-in dimmer: dimming needs bulbs described as dimmable and a dimmer in the circuit. Build and where it may be installed Plate, sleeves and suspensions are metal in a single black finish, and the gold appears only as an inset panel on the front of each sleeve. The lamp is made in Poland. The IP20 rating covers dry interiors only. The manufacturer intends the fitting for a living room, a kitchen, a hallway and catering premises, and describes its shape as modern: plain cylinders with no ornament beyond that one gold accent.
