Famlight Mico Transparent stainless steel modern pendant lamp
The Famlight Mico is a pendant lamp with a spherical shade made of hand-blown glass, its surface covered in irregular dimples pressed in by hand. The shade is transparent, so the bulb and the cord running up to the metal ceiling cap stay visible through the glass. The lamp belongs to the Mico series and, according to the manufacturer, is made entirely by hand in Poland. How big the lamp is and where to hang it From the ceiling cap to the bottom edge of the shade, the whole fixture measures 1200 mm. The glass sphere itself is 300 mm in diameter and 280 mm high – a size worth comparing with your ceiling height and the exact spot the lamp will hang, such as over a small table or beside a bed. The ceiling cap is 100 mm across, enough to cover a standard mounting hole in the ceiling. The lamp weighs 4 kg, which is worth factoring in when choosing a hook or anchor – especially on a plasterboard ceiling, where the fixing should reach the load-bearing structure rather than just the board. How much light it gives, and what kind The fixture has a single light point with an E27 socket and takes a bulb of up to 40 W; no bulb is included, so you need to buy one separately. Because the shade is transparent, the bulb stays visible at all times, even when the lamp is off – its shape and light colour affect how the whole fixture looks. The 230 V supply matches a standard household socket. A single light point rated up to 40 W works as accent, spot-style lighting rather than as a room's main light source. What kind of interior it suits The manufacturer lists this lamp for living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms. The catalogue describes its style as both modern and classic: the smooth spherical form echoes classic glass shapes, while the irregular, hand-pressed texture gives it a contemporary character. The shade's simple sphere shape makes it easy to combine several units side by side or at different heights, or to use it on its own as a single light accent.Näytä lisää
