RING WHITE 1278 is a ceiling lamp built on a white metal frame looped into a 70 × 70 cm figure. Three short rigid arms carry three spherical shades of smoked glass. The whole fitting mounts flush to the ceiling on a round rose — it does not hang on cables. How much room it takes under the ceiling The frame occupies a 70 × 70 cm square and the fitting drops 32 cm below the ceiling. In a room of the usual 250 cm height that leaves the bottom of the shades about 218 cm above the floor, above head height — which is why this fitting also works where a pendant would get in the way of walking past. The manufacturer states a gross weight of 2 kg. An ordinary ceiling fixing will hold it; in a plasterboard ceiling the screws have to reach the supporting structure. What light it gives and what you need to buy The fitting takes three E27 lamps of up to 60 W each. Bulbs are not included, so colour and brightness are your choice — three lamps of around 800 lm each give light comparable to the old 60 W bulbs, and 2700–3000 K will be warm and slightly yellow. The shades are smoked glass: translucent but tinted. The lit bulb stays visible through them, so the look of the fitting depends on the lamp you choose — a decorative filament bulb becomes part of the composition here, while a frosted globe disappears inside the shade. Build and where it fits The frame is metal finished in white; the shades are glass in a smoked tone. White metal against tinted glass gives a contrast that reads even with the lamp switched off. The fitting is made in Poland and belongs to the Ring series, where the same frame comes in three-, four- and five-light versions and in other colours. The manufacturer intends it for a living room, a kitchen, a hallway and for hospitality interiors. The IP20 rating settles that this is a fitting for dry rooms only — not for a bathroom above a bath, and not outdoors.Näytä lisää
