ALEXIS is a spotlight for 1-circuit tracks with a slim conical body — narrow at the joint and widening to 5.4 cm at the light opening. The body is white, the joint black, the track adapter white. The whole fitting measures 18.5 cm and weighs 180 g. Which track it fits The fitting clips into a 1-circuit track fed at 230 V and has no fixing of its own for a ceiling or a wall — without the track it cannot be mounted at all. The track and its power feed are bought separately. At 18.5 cm long the spotlight projects a good way below the track. That is the figure to compare against your ceiling height and against how low the track itself hangs. How it is aimed The head tilts through 90 degrees and turns through 350 degrees. From one point on a straight run of track the light can therefore be aimed vertically down or horizontally at a wall, and to practically any bearing around its axis. The manufacturer lists ALEXIS for kitchen countertop lighting among other uses. That range of adjustment means the same fitting lights a different part of the room once re-aimed, without being moved along the track. What bulb it takes The lampholder is a GU10, and the manufacturer gives 5 W as the maximum lamp power — a ceiling for the bulb, not the fitting's own consumption. No bulb is supplied. Brightness and spread are therefore chosen with the lamp: GU10 bulbs are sold in a range of beam angles, from a tight cone to wide light. Dimming is possible but needs a bulb marked as dimmable and a dimmer in the circuit — the fitting itself carries no control electronics. Build The lamp sits at the wide end of the cone, which tapers towards the joint. The white body with its black joint puts a contrast exactly where the fitting bends, and against a white track it is mainly the cone that shows.Näytä lisää
