The V-TAC surface-mounted downlight panel is a round, flat LED fixture 31.2 mm thick that fixes directly onto the ceiling surface rather than recessing into it. The body is white plastic, and the light source is a built-in CREE LED chip that cannot be replaced. How large the panel is and how it mounts The panel measures 288.6 mm across, is 31.2 mm thick and weighs 0.51 kg. Being a surface-mounted fixture, it does not require cutting a hole in the ceiling or altering its structure — it screws directly onto the surface where the power supply is run. The manufacturer states AC 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz mains supply, so no external transformer is needed. How much and what kind of light it gives The integrated 24 W LED delivers a luminous flux of 2640 lm, equal to roughly 110 lm/W efficiency. Colour temperature switches between three settings — 3000 K (warm white), 4000 K (neutral white) and 6500 K (cool white) — without changing the light source. The beam angle is 120°, and the colour rendering index (CRI) is above 80, sufficient to distinguish colours accurately for everyday use. The manufacturer states a lifespan of 30,000 hours (about 27 years at 3 hours of use per day) and resistance to more than 15,000 on/off cycles.
