The Hollow Zigzag M is a brass candle holder shaped as a cylinder: 10 cm across, 15 cm tall, open at the top. The whole wall is pierced — interlocking zigzags forming a dense, repeating lattice. The manufacturer gives the colour as gold and the material as brass. What the pierced wall does The candle stands inside the cylinder and brass is opaque, so sideways the light escapes only through the cut-outs. Instead of an even glow, the drawing of that same pattern appears on the tabletop and on the wall behind the holder. The top is open, so the flame shines upwards unobstructed and the candle goes in and out from above. The pattern runs all the way around the wall, so the holder looks the same from every side and has no back that would need to face the wall.
