Paul Neuhaus SILEDA 6781-13 Ceiling Spotlight Anthracite 2xLED
The Paul Neuhaus SILEDA 6781-13 is a two-light ceiling spotlight in which two ring-shaped heads sit on a straight 50.5 cm bar. Both heads swivel, so the light can be aimed exactly where it is wanted — at a mirror, a vanity top, a shelf or a wall. The anthracite finish reads as a dark, matt accent and is clearly distinct from plain black. Build and finish Ceiling plate, bar and head housings are made of steel with an anthracite powder-coated finish — a dark grey that is cooler and more restrained than black. Satin-finished acrylic glass closes each ring, diffusing the LED light and preventing glare when you look straight at the fitting. The flat base plate covers the ceiling junction box, while the slim bar keeps the whole piece light and graphic. Light output The fitting runs on two permanently installed LED modules of 6.4 W each. The manufacturer rates total system consumption, driver included, at 15 W. Colour temperature is 3000 K — warm white, easy on the eye in the evening and natural in a bathroom. Two different figures are published for this fitting and they are worth telling apart. The raw output of the LED modules themselves is 1700 lm (2 × 850 lm), while the effective output that actually leaves the luminaire after the satin diffuser is 650 lm. Plan your lighting around the second number: SILEDA is meant as targeted accent lighting for a specific zone — a mirror, a basin, an alcove, a picture — rather than as the only light source in a larger room. Bathrooms and damp rooms An IP44 rating means protection against solid objects larger than 1 mm and against splashing water from any direction. That allows installation in a bathroom outside the direct shower zone, and equally in a utility room, hallway or kitchen. The manufacturer names the bathroom and the hallway explicitly as intended locations. Installation and use SILEDA mounts to the ceiling and connects to a standard 230 V supply. It is a class II fitting, meaning double insulation — no earth conductor is required. The LED modules are integrated permanently and cannot be replaced by the user; the light sources are supplied with the fitting, so it is ready to run as soon as it is wired in.
