Oslo 245BL is a 118 cm outdoor bollard light from the NORLYS Oslo series. The steel stem curves into an arc at the top, and beneath it hangs a shade built from two stacked discs 28.5 cm across. The body is powder-coated black in RAL 9005 and the cover over the lamp is clear polycarbonate. How much room it takes and how it is fixed down The fitting stands 118 cm tall, so it lights from a level below adult eye height — the beam lands on the path surface rather than in the eyes of anyone walking past. The curved arm carries the shade out to the side, giving the fitting a 48 cm horizontal footprint; compare that figure with the width of the edging or bed it is meant to stand beside. The mounting anchor is supplied, so setting the bollard needs no separate anchoring kit. The terminals allow several fittings to be looped onto one circuit, which matters when a longer path is being lit. The fitting itself weighs 3.8 kg, and 5.5 kg boxed. How much light it gives The fitting takes one E27 lamp of up to 9 W in LED technology. No lamp is included, so you choose the colour and brightness yourself — for a garden most people reach for 2700–3000 K, a warm, slightly yellow light. The shade is made of two discs mounted one above the other. The upper one caps the lamp from above, while the gap between them lets some light out sideways, so the main output goes downward onto the ground directly beneath. Build and life outdoors The stem and discs are hot-dip galvanised steel, then powder-coated. The lamp cover is UV-stabilised polycarbonate, which takes years of sun exposure. NORLYS gives a 5-year warranty on the fitting and a 25-year anti-corrosion warranty. IP55 sealing means protection against dust and against water jets from any direction, so the bollard can stand in the open with no cover overhead; the manufacturer states an operating range of −20…+45 °C. It is built to protection class II, so no earth conductor connection is required. Where it works NORLYS intends the Oslo series for the ground around a house — garden paths, the driveway, the edge of a terrace — and for entrances at hotels and restaurants. The form is Scandinavian: smooth discs with no ornament, a single black finish and the visible arc of the arm; the same shade returns on the wall, ceiling and post-top fittings of the Oslo series.Zobraziť viac
