GES2425N is a slim garden path light: an aluminium tube in a dark brown finish, topped with a flat 5 cm head behind an opal acrylic diffuser. At the bottom it tapers into a spike that pushes straight into the ground — there is nothing to concrete in and nothing to screw down. How big it is and how it goes in Above ground the light stands 80 cm tall, roughly dining-table height, so the light falls from hip level onto the path right beside it. The spike is 12.5 cm long and 2.5 cm across, so soft ground — a lawn or a planting bed — is all that is needed; it will not anchor in a paved surface. The whole fitting weighs 160 g and the tube is only a few millimetres thick. In daylight it all but disappears among planting, and the dark brown finish hides it further. How much light it gives and of what kind The built-in LED module draws 1.5 W and puts out 99 lm. This is marker light: it traces the line of a path and picks out the edge of a step, but it does not light the surroundings — covering a whole walkway takes several fittings spaced along it. The diffuser emits over 340°, so almost all round rather than in one direction. 4000 K is neutral white, cooler than a filament bulb and closer to daylight. A colour rendering index above Ra 80 is enough for planting and paving to keep a natural colour. The maker quotes 30,000 h of life; the module has no cap and cannot be replaced, so at the end of that the whole fitting is replaced. What you need to buy as well, and where it can stand The fitting runs on safe 24 V DC and falls under protection class III, so it does not connect straight to a socket. The 24 V driver — the maker specifies model GSTT57 — is not included and has to be bought separately; without it the light will not work. One driver normally feeds several fittings, so it is worth counting how many lights the run will carry before ordering. IP65 means a dust-tight body protected against water jets, so the light stays out in the garden all year with no cover. It cannot be dimmed — it works on and off only.Zobraziť viac
