This is a 20 m coil of the milky BASIC diffuser in PMMA, packed in a carton that doubles as a dispenser. A roller sits inside the box, and you unwind only as much cover as the run of profile needs; the rest stays coiled and protected in the packaging. What the milky diffuser does to the light The milky version is a white screen: neither the inside of the profile nor the individual diodes show through, so the strip reads as a continuous line rather than a row of dots. That is paid for in output — milky PMMA passes 51% of the light, against 95% for the transparent version, 78% for the frosted one and 83% for frosted milky. That difference belongs in the choice of strip. If a run has to reach a given brightness, the strip under a milky diffuser is specified stronger than under a transparent one — roughly twice as strong to arrive at the same result. Before buying, match the marking on your profile against the compatibility list — what decides whether it seats is the shape, not the length. The cover presses into the profile from the end face, that is from the top, sliding along the groove. No adhesive and no screws are involved, and the run is cut to the length you need. What is in the box The carton holds 20 metres of diffuser in a single coil — the product is sold as a complete package, not by the metre. The material is PMMA, that is acrylic.
