ATTACH is a pendant 4 cm across, hung from a thin wire up to 200 cm long. The body is white and weighs 0.28 kg. The most important thing, though, is not visible in the photograph: the fitting runs on a battery and has no mains connection. A battery instead of an installation A 2600 mAh battery sits in the head. The lamp is not wired to the supply — it can hang anywhere there is neither a box nor a cable run: over an alcove, in a wardrobe, above a bedhead in a rented flat, in a place nobody ever ran wiring to. To charge it, the head lifts off its magnet and connects by USB cable. The cable is supplied; a mains adapter is not — a USB charger or a computer port is needed. After charging the head goes back and holds magnetically, with nothing to screw. How much light, and how it is controlled The LED module draws 3 W. The maker gives 300 lm as the module figure and 210 lm as the fitting's effective output — the second number is what actually leaves the fitting, and it is the one to plan by. That is the level of an atmospheric, task-sized lamp: ATTACH lights what is directly beneath it, not a room. The colour is warm white. Brightness is set by touching the fitting, in three steps — no remote, no dimmer in the circuit, no app. Suspension and build The suspension wire is 200 cm and is shortened at installation to the height required.
