FREYA 120 is a closed steel column measuring 120 x 6 x 8 cm, finished in olive green. There is no visible shade and no visible bulb — light leaves the fitting through an opening at its end, so what you see on the wall is the slim body itself and a band of diffused light below it. This is a module, not a single lamp Thoro designs FREYA as part of a system. The same 6 x 8 cm section comes in four lengths — 60, 90, 120 and 150 cm — in five colours (white, black, beige, red ochre and olive green). Several fittings of different lengths, set vertically, horizontally or alternating, build a geometric composition across a wall; a single one works as a vertical stroke beside a door, a mirror or in the corner of a hallway. That is a rare property among wall lights: FREYA can be repeated without looking accidental. A GU10 socket — the bulb is not included Inside there is one GU10 socket rated at a maximum of 10 W, and the manufacturer supplies the fitting without a light source. That is a design decision rather than an omission — the buyer chooses the colour and the output. The consequences are worth knowing before you order: Colour temperature depends entirely on the bulb you fit. Common GU10 LEDs come in 3000 K (warm white), 4000 K (neutral) and 6000 K (cool), and some models let you switch between them. Output is the bulb's business too: a typical 5–8 W GU10 LED gives 400–700 lm, which on a single fitting means lighting a section of wall rather than a whole room. The 10 W limit is a thermal limit set by the closed steel housing — do not exceed it, and a 35 or 50 W halogen GU10 is out of the question. Protection class I — an earth conductor is required The fitting is protection class I, which on a conductive steel body means it needs a protective earth conductor. In a flat with older two-core wiring and no earth at the back box, installation calls for a check first — that is the single most common reason a metal wall light goes back. Supply: ~230 V, 50 Hz. The IP20 rating restricts FREYA to dry rooms; it is not for bathroom protection zones and not for outdoors. Steel, not aluminium The body is steel and weighs 2.07 kg over 120 cm — a solid, rigid form that does not flex or resonate. Steel also holds a sharp corner edge, which on a form this minimal is what decides the look: a matt olive coating over crisply defined edges reads as a piece of architecture rather than an accessory.
