NORA 8402 is a floor lamp 165 cm tall: a slim tube on a round flat base, both in a gold finish, topped with a goblet-shaped shade in clear glass. The maker gives the finish as Oro/Blanco and the materials as bronze and glass. The shade is clear — the bulb shows The glass does not hide the light source, so the bulb becomes part of the shape. That settles the choice: NORA wants a decorative lamp — a globe, a candle or a retro filament — rather than an ordinary frosted bulb with a visible heatsink. The fitting takes one E27 lamp up to 20 W; none is supplied. The shade throws light in every direction, so the lamp gives general light spread through the room rather than a focused beam for reading.
