Nora 2487GR is a square outdoor wall light in cast aluminium, powder-coated graphite (RAL 7016). The body measures 13 x 13 cm, stands 5 cm off the wall and weighs 0.85 kg. Light leaves through two slots, top and bottom, behind satin safety glass; a silicone gasket sits between glass and body. How it spreads the light The manufacturer gives a ULOR of 50%, so half the flux goes up and half goes down. On a wall that produces two symmetrical bands rather than a single pool under the fitting - compare that with your intended mounting height, because the upper band needs clear surface above the light. The 4000 K light colour is neutral, without warm yellow, and the satin glass diffuses the beam so the diodes are not visible as points. Wattage set on the driver, and dimming There is a switch on the driver that moves the luminaire between 10.9 W and 15 W, and the fitting leaves the factory set to 10.9 W. That is a decision to take before mounting, because the catalogue figures - 15 W and 695 lm - refer to the higher of the two settings. The light dims on phase control (TRIAC) and on both edges: trailing edge (TE) and leading edge (LE). That matters where an older leading-edge R or RL dimmer is already installed - this fitting runs with it. Mounting and wiring The fitting is fixed through two ø5 mm holes spaced 63 x 112 mm, per the supplied manual. The gland takes a round cable 7-10.5 mm in diameter and the terminal block a conductor cross-section up to 3 x 2.5 mm². The terminals also allow further fittings to be looped through with up to 3 x 1.5 mm², so a run along a facade goes on one supply line instead of a separate circuit per point. The manufacturer states how many one breaker may carry: 37 on B10A, 60 on B16A, 62 on C10A and 102 on C16A. The fitting is safety class I, so it needs a connection with a protective earth conductor, and runs on 230 V mains.
