V-TAC VT-1115-3 power strip (order code 8807): five mains sockets, two USB ports and an illuminated switch, on a three-metre lead. White housing measuring 36.5 × 5.3 × 4.4 cm. 3680 W rated load – what you can actually plug in This is the most important number on any power strip and the one most often left out. This one takes 16 A, i.e. 3680 W in total across all sockets together – not per socket. In practice: five office devices fit comfortably, but a kettle (2000 W) and a heater (2000 W) on the same strip already exceed the limit. The lead is 3 × 1.5 mm², thicker than the 3 × 1.0 mm² usual in cheap strips – and it is that cross-section which lets the full 16 A run safely along all three metres. Two USB ports sharing 3.4 A The USB ports share 3.4 A. That is enough to fast-charge a phone and charge a second device at the same time, but it will not replace a USB-C Power Delivery charger for a laptop. The gain is that two mains sockets stay free instead of being taken up by chargers. The illuminated switch The switch cuts all sockets at once and lights up when the strip is live. That is useful with AV and computer equipment that draws power on standby – one press kills the lot, and the lit rocker shows the state at a glance even when the strip sits under a desk.
