Bazar Bizar The Timor Man on Stand XL – 5 Crown decorative figure BAKU012-XL

Name: Bazar Bizar The Timor Man on Stand XL – 5 Crown decorative figure BAKU012-XL
Brand: BAZAR BIZAR

The Timor Man on Stand XL – 5 Crown is a flat sandstone sculpture set on a black rectangular base on two slim rods. The figure is a relief rather than a piece carved in the round: the face, the zigzag necklace, the two spirals on the torso and the outline of the arms are all cut into one slab. The top is finished with a crown of five triangular points - hence the 5 Crown in its name. Its size and weight Sculpture and base together stand 47 cm tall, and the base takes up 20 x 11 cm of surface. At that height it is worth checking in advance how much clear space is left above the sideboard or console it is meant for. Bazar Bizar publishes only a shipping weight: 11.7 kg. It gives no weight for the sculpture itself, but this is a solid stone slab - compare that figure with what the shelf or worktop is rated to carry. What it is made of and what comes with it The material is sandstone in a natural sand-cream tone, with a rough texture and visible wear marks. Each piece is carved by hand in Indonesia, so the drawing, the depth of the cuts and the shade of the stone differ from the photograph - that is a property of the making, not a fault. The black base with its two rods is part of the product. The figure stands on it straight out of the box, with no separate stand to buy and no wall fixing. Looking after it The producer advises gentle dusting with a soft cloth, keeping the stone away from moisture and storing it somewhere dry. Sandstone is absorbent, which makes this an indoor decoration only - not for a terrace and not for a bathroom. Which interiors it suits The form is ethnic and boho: a simplified, primitive treatment of the face, hand-cut lines and raw, unpolished stone. A sculpture like this works as a single focal point in a living room, a hallway or a study, next to wood and textiles in natural colours.Mostrar mais
