TEKKNI MOSSO is a kit for building an LED strip into plasterboard: a 3 m black aluminium profile and a milky S14 polycarbonate cover. The flanges are perforated, so the skim coat passes through the holes and locks the profile to the board — once the surface is finished, all that remains visible is the lit slot, with no frame around it. Neither part gives light on its own; this is the housing an LED strip goes into. What comes in the box and what you buy separately The kit holds three kinds of parts: one MOSSO aluminium profile, one milky S14 polycarbonate cover and four ABS end caps with a cable hole. There is no LED strip and no driver — both are chosen separately. The maker places the driver outside the profile, so it needs its own spot in the installation. MOSSO sets cannot be joined end to end: a longer line of light is laid out from separate runs, and each run is closed by its own pair of end caps. Four caps come in the box, two more than a single uncut run needs. How it sits in the plasterboard The profile body is 16.0 mm wide and 14.2 mm high, and with the flanges it spans 41.8 mm — that is the width to allow for in the build-up. It is fitted between two plasterboard sheets and the joint is filled with plaster compound; the maker shows the sequence on three installation drawings. Light leaves perpendicular to the mounting plane — straight down from a ceiling, or sideways out of a wall. MOSSO is intended for decorative lighting as well as for main lighting. The cover and the strip The channel inside the profile is 14.2 mm wide, and that is the dimension to measure a strip against — the usual 8 and 10 mm strips fit it with room to spare. The S14 cover is 14.1 mm wide and 4.3 mm high and clips between the edges of the channel. The milky cover is translucent and spreads the light of the diodes, so no separate dots show in the slot; part of the flux is held back in exchange.
