The PROFI 3Y LED strip comes as a 25-metre reel carrying 120 2835 SMD diodes per metre. The flexible circuit board is 10 mm wide and 3 mm thick, and its underside is factory-fitted with Blue Tape adhesive. How much light it gives and how it renders colour Every metre emits 890 lumens, so the full reel adds up to roughly 22,250 lumens. For comparison, the old 60 W incandescent bulb gave about 800 lumens — one metre of this strip is broadly its equal, except that the light is spread along a line rather than concentrated in one point. 6500 K is cool white, distinctly cold and slightly blue. A colour rendering index of Ra 90 or above means fabrics, wood and goods look almost as they do in daylight — which matters over a kitchen worktop, under wall cabinets and in a walk-in wardrobe, the places the manufacturer intends this strip for. Power supply and cutting The strip runs on 12 V DC, so mains operation needs a 12 V driver, which is not included. Size it against the length you actually install: each metre draws 9.6 W and the whole reel 240 W. Luminous efficacy is 93 lm/W and the energy efficiency class is F. It can be cut every 25 mm, that is after every three diodes, only at the points marked on the board. The 10 mm width is the dimension to match when choosing an aluminium profile and diffuser, and the 3 oz copper layer limits voltage drop over long runs. Where it can go and how long it lasts An IP20 rating restricts the strip to dry interiors — it is not suitable outdoors or in bathroom protection zones. The working temperature range of −20 °C to +45 °C does cover unheated rooms such as a garage or a workshop. The manufacturer states a lifetime of 35,000 hours to L70/B50, the point at which luminous flux falls to 70% of its initial value, and more than 30,000 switching cycles.
