ASTINA QPAR51 is a narrow pendant shaped as a white aluminium tube 7 cm across and 20 cm high. The tube is open at the bottom and its lower edge is framed by a glass ring that stands out in colour against the white body once the light is on. The fitting hangs on a 250 cm cable. How much room it needs and how low it hangs At 7 cm across it lights a narrow patch of the surface rather than a whole room — it is a fitting for one specific spot, or for a row of several over a longer counter. The tube itself is 20 cm high. The cable is 250 cm, so there is slack even under a high ceiling. Over a table the bottom edge usually goes 70–80 cm above the top — the remaining cable is then stowed in the canopy or shortened during installation. Which lamp to buy with it The fitting has one GU10 holder and takes a lamp of up to 10 W. No lamp is included — the maker lists recommended sources in the datasheet as separate articles, among them a QPAR51 GU10 LED of 6 W, 2200–2700 K, Ra 90 and a 36° beam. QPAR51 is a lamp with its own reflector, so the width of the beam is decided by the lamp you choose, not by the fitting. Light leaves downwards only, through the open bottom of the tube. Connection and accessories The fitting runs on 220–240 V and is supplied ready for direct connection to the mains. It is protection class I and therefore needs an earth conductor — it must not be connected in an installation without earthing. The maker offers separately the adapters for single-phase and three-phase track, which let the same fitting hang from a track instead of a ceiling box, and the FITU canopies in single and triple versions for when several fittings come out of one ceiling point.
